Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Tapstep app for Android and its Pro subscription, published by Ecma Yazılım Eğitim San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. The app
Tapstep lets you build shortcuts from actions, run them, and automate them with triggers. The app and its on-device features are free. We may change, add or remove features over time.
2. Pro
- What it is. Pro adds AI models in the cloud to your shortcuts, such as Build with AI, Use Pro Model and Create Image. It includes a monthly allowance of requests (currently 500 answers, 30 images and 150 messages to the shortcut assistant per calendar month; 50 answers, 5 images and 15 messages to the assistant during a free trial). Unused requests do not carry over. We may change the allowance for future periods; the current allowance is always shown in the app and on this page.
- Price and renewal. Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription through Google Play, at the price shown before you buy, including applicable taxes. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Free trial. Where offered, a free trial is available once to new subscribers. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and Google Play charges the price shown.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (or from the app’s subscription management). Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Payments are processed by Google Play and refunds follow Google Play’s refund policies. This does not limit the rights you have under consumer law.
- Restoring. If you reinstall the app or change phones, use Restore Purchases with the same Google account.
3. AI features
- AI answers and images are produced automatically and may be wrong, incomplete or unexpected. Check them before you rely on them, especially for health, legal, financial or safety matters.
- You are responsible for what you send and for how you use the results. Do not use AI features to create content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, harasses people, or depicts real people in a misleading or harmful way. The usage policies of the model providers also apply.
- If a result is offensive, harmful or wrong, report it with Report where it is shown in the app (the assistant’s answers, AI steps in a run’s details, and text such a step made from text you selected or shared), or write to info@ecma.co. The reported answer is sent with your report; we review reports and use them to improve how AI answers are filtered.
- Pro requests may be refused when they break these rules, when the allowance is used up, or when the service is temporarily unavailable.
4. Your shortcuts and automations
Shortcuts do what you build them to do: they can send messages, change settings, control devices, open apps and contact web services. You are responsible for the shortcuts you create, add from the gallery or receive, and for running them. Automations depend on your phone, Android and other services; they may run late or not at all, for example when the phone restricts background activity. Do not rely on them for anything critical to safety or health.
Sharing shortcuts
You may share shortcuts you made as links. Anyone who has a link can see and add the shortcut, so share only what you have the right to share and what is safe for others to run: do not share shortcuts that harm people, deceive them, collect their data without their knowing, or break the law. We may take down a shared shortcut that is reported or that breaks these terms. Shortcuts others share are theirs, not ours: look through them before you run them.
5. Other services
Some features work with services of others, such as Google Play, Google Home, AI model providers, AI apps you share with, and the web addresses your shortcuts use. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app or Pro: do not try to get around its checks or allowances, access it other than through the app, reverse-engineer the service, or use it to harm others or break the law. We may suspend Pro access that is used this way.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design and its content belong to us or our licensors. Shortcuts you create are yours.
8. Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss caused by shortcuts or automations running, not running, or running differently than expected. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and significant changes are shown in the app. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; cancel Pro in Google Play so it does not renew.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Consumers may apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of their place of residence as Turkish law provides; consumers in the European Union keep the protection of their country’s mandatory law.
